Privacy Policy
Ivan Stepanok, as an individual entrepreneur registered in Ukraine, operates this mobile application ("Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, and disclose your information, including personal information, when you access or use our application.
1. Introduction
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1. Telegram Authentication
Our app uses the official Telegram library (TDLib) for authentication. We do not store your Telegram credentials on our servers. All authentication data is managed securely by the official Telegram library on your device.
2.2. Public Channel Data
- Channel IDs and Messages: We may collect public Telegram channel IDs and messages that you choose to monitor or analyze.
- Location Data in Messages: If channel messages contain location information (e.g., coordinates, addresses), we analyze that data to display it on the map.
- Message Timestamps and Context: We store timestamps and limited contextual details for analytical purposes.
- Channel Subscription Preferences: We store which channels you have chosen to monitor or block.
2.3. Usage Data
- App Interaction: We may collect data on how you navigate or interact with the app interface (e.g., which sections are used most frequently).
- Subscription Status: We record your subscription status and type (e.g., free trial or paid).
- Technical Error Logs: In case of crashes or errors, we may store logs to improve the Service.
- User-submitted Reports: We store user-submitted reports about potentially inappropriate or illegal content in Telegram channels.
3. How We Use Your Information
3.1. Core Functionality
We analyze and display location-based information from the messages of public Telegram channels you select. We also process and display new or updated channel content in real time.
3.2. Service Improvement
- Accuracy Enhancement: We may monitor and improve the accuracy of our location-detection algorithms.
- Content Filtering: We employ AI-based or rule-based filters to detect and block inappropriate or extremist content.
- User Reports: We review user-submitted reports to moderate channels or specific content.
3.3. Subscription Management
- Access Control: We use your subscription status to enable or restrict features (e.g., monitoring additional channels).
- Billing: Your subscription billing is handled by the App Store; we only track whether you have an active subscription.
4. Data Storage and Transfer
4.1. Local Storage (on your device)
- Telegram Session: Managed by TDLib; we do not have direct access to your Telegram credentials.
- Channel Preferences: Which channels you follow, block, or report are stored locally.
- Recently Analyzed Messages: Certain message data is cached locally for up to 24 hours to improve performance.
4.2. Server Storage
- Analyzed Messages (24 hours): We temporarily store a subset of message data (location, timestamps) on our servers for up to 24 hours to provide faster analysis and retrieval.
- No Personal User Data: We do not store any personal information linking you to specific messages or channels.
- Encrypted Communication: All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS.
4.3. Transfer of Data
If you are located outside Ukraine, please note that data we process may be transferred to and stored on servers in Ukraine or other jurisdictions. By using our Service, you consent to such transfer. We take commercially reasonable steps to ensure that your data is protected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
5. Content Moderation
5.1. Automated Filtering
We employ automated (AI-based) filters to detect and hide potentially extremist or otherwise inappropriate content. Filtered content is generally not stored or displayed to the user.
5.2. User Reports
You may report inappropriate or illegal content. We review reports within a reasonable timeframe (typically 24 hours), and reserve the right to remove or block access to reported channels or content without prior notice.
6. Third-Party Services
6.1. Telegram
Our Service relies on the official Telegram library (TDLib). Telegram's own Privacy Policy applies to your Telegram account usage. We have no control over Telegram's handling of your personal data.
6.2. App Store
Subscription payments and billing are managed by Apple's App Store. The App Store Privacy Policy applies to payment processing and refund issues.
6.3. Microsoft Clarity (Potential Integration)
In the future, we may use Microsoft Clarity to analyze user behavior and interactions within the app. Clarity may collect navigation data, device information, and performance metrics. For more details, please see Microsoft Clarity's Privacy Policy.
7. Security of Data
We take commercially acceptable measures to protect your data. However, no electronic method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use best practices and encryption, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights and Controls
- Channel Selection: You choose which public channels to monitor.
- Reporting: You may report content that you find objectionable.
- Subscription Management: You can manage or cancel your subscription via your Apple ID settings.
- Data Deletion: You can delete locally stored data by uninstalling the app. We do not maintain personal identifiers on our servers, so removing your app session effectively removes all your personal usage data.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for users aged 13 years and older (or as required by your local jurisdiction), particularly because public Telegram channels may contain mature or explicit content. If you are under the required age, please do not use the Service without parental supervision.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of any changes by:
- Posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
- Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.
- Sending an in-app notification or including the updated policy in a new version release.
Your continued use of the Service after any modifications indicates your acceptance of the revised Policy.
11. Legal Compliance
11.1. Data Protection
We comply with applicable data protection laws in Ukraine and other relevant jurisdictions. We strive to collect only the data necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
11.2. Content Responsibility
We are not responsible for the content posted in public Telegram channels. We reserve the right to block or remove access to any channel that violates our Terms of Service or applicable law. We cooperate with relevant authorities regarding illegal or extremist content, when required by law.
12. Disclaimer
We cannot guarantee 100% accuracy of location data extracted from Telegram messages. We are not responsible for any potentially harmful or illegal content found in public channels. Service availability and performance may vary due to technical or external factors.
